Prof. Bacharach is a Professor of Molecular Virology in The Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research, Tel Aviv University and Head of the S. Daniel Abraham Institute for Molecular Virology. His research focuses on the molecular biology of RNAviruses, virus-host interactions, and the innate immune response to viral infections. His laboratory has made key contributions to the study of retroviruses, respiratory RNA viruses, and oncolytic viruses, including real-time imaging of viral entry and the discovery of novel viruses.
Eran, by virtue of his many years as a leading researcher, brings extensive expertise in research design, precision in formulating questions, and a profound methodological understanding, with vast knowledge in immunity and virology. Prof. Bacharach brings an essential perspective to the Colton Center’s mission of advancing innovative, interdisciplinary research in autoimmunity.
